Erath’s Juliard bottling has a bit more stiffness and muscle than the wide-open Hyland, but tails off too quickly to be considered as a cellar candidate. This seems very dry, thin, leafy and tannic, upon entry. It tastes like green tea, with cranberry and wild cherry fruit. It’s not a simple wine by any means, and it will probably flesh out with some bottle age, for the complexity is there in the aromas and in the length.
