Matured 15 months in 35% new French oak, the 2019 Pinot Noir Fog Dance Vineyard is stunning, with the intensity, energy and detail of a Pinot Noir that promises a long life ahead in the cellar. Medium ruby in color, its aromas are pure and dynamic, a core of dried cherries, rhubarb and orange complemented by layer after layer of earth, floral, flinty and savory nuances. Medium-bodied, it combines powerful, hedonistic fruit with a silky, seamless feel as it glides across the palate, and its stunning floral perfume defines the extended finish. Located in the Green Valley district of the Russian River Valley, the Fog Dance Vineyard has been farmed organically for 15 years. 263 cases were made.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2017 Pinot Noir Fog Dance Vineyard is a little closed to begin, opening out to Black Forest cake, mulberries and kirsch scents plus hints of dark chocolate, wild thyme, lavender and charcuterie. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers fantastic intensity with loads of red berry and savory layers and a pleasant chew to the texture, finishing with an herbal lift. 317 cases were made.

The medium to deep ruby-purple colored 2016 Hartford Court Pinot Noir Fog Dance Vineyard simply sings of black cherry pie, freshly crushed blackberries and pomegranate with hints of spice cake, dark chocolate and sassafras. Medium to full-bodied, rich and spicy in the mouth, it fills the palate with decadent black berries and a velvety texture, finishing on a lingering peppery note. 348 cases produced.

Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Hartford Court Pinot Noir Fog Dance Vineyard gives a full on bombastic black cherry and black raspberry-scented nose with hints of rose hip tea, dark chocolate and lavender with a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied, the palate is very elegant and fresh with more of a savory/earthy character coming through, supported by fine-grained tannins and finishing on a beautiful stewed tea note. 361 cases were produced.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Fog Dance Vineyard comes from Dijon clones 115, 667 and 777 grown in another cold, windy area in the Green Valley, south of the old hippie town of Forestville. Soft, spicy, tart red cherries in addition to some plum, Asian spice, and forest floor are all present in this luscious, sexy, complex wine that offers up loads of fragrance, medium to full body and a heady finish. Drink it over the next 7-10 years.
