The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's Vineyard is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 20 months in French oak, 73% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it delivers a gorgeous nose of red currant jelly, Morello cherries and black currant cordial with hints of chocolate mint, tree bark and cardamom. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, featuring crunchy, densely laden fruit flavors and a firm, grainy texture, finishing with great length, freshness and a touch of minerality. 250 cases were made.

The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's Vineyard has the most gorgeous perfume of lilacs, blueberry pie, dark chocolate and cassis with touches of menthol, underbrush and unsmoked cigars plus a hint of pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, with super firm, ripe tannins and seamless freshness supporting the taut, muscular fruit, finishing long with a touch of spiciness coming through. 406 cases were made.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's Vineyard contains a 1.8% splash of Petit Verdot and was aged 20 months in 64% new French oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it features a knock-out perfume of candied violets, warm cassis, preserves plums and blueberry compote with hints of eucalyptus, dark chocolate, Indian spices and oolong tea with a waft of cedar. The palate is full-bodied, firmly structured and offers wonderfully firm, ripe, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness supporting the vivacious black and blue fruits, finishing very long and very layered. 406 cases produced, to be released in September 2019.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's Vineyard is a little youthfully reticent, revealing suggestions of crushed black berries and blueberries with hints of dried herbs, menthol, baker's chocolate, black olives and scorched earth. Medium-bodied, very firm, very taut and with great tension, it is very tightly wound with all the elements for a truly exciting, long-lived wine. 512 cases were made.

A 50-year wine named after Jess Jackson’s son Christopher, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher’s Vineyard comes from a more north-facing site on red volcanic soils with high concentrations of slate and iron, planted in 1986. The resulting wine displays loads of blueberry and blackberry fruit, wet, gravelly rocks, some graphite, a full-bodied, mouthfeel, huge, massive fruit and extract, and a long, juicy but substantial finish of close to a minute, with plenty of tannin. Forget this wine for 5-7 years and drink it over the following 50+ years.
