This wine follows local tradition and is made with a blend from various parcels. We have fruit from these vineyard sites: Perno, Albarella, Terno, Bricco delle Viole, San Pietro, San Ponzio, La Volta, Fossati, Ravera and Monvigliero. The Giovanni Viberti 2019 Barolo Buon Padre (the "good father") opens to fine and ethereal aromas of blue flower, cassis and powdery licorice. The wine offers more substance and fiber to the palate thanks to a long-lasting silky finish. Put this wine aside for more aging. Production is 43,000 bottles and 512 magnums.

Buon Padre is in fact an ambitious blend from nine vineyard sites: Bricco delle Viole, San Pietro, La Volta, Fossati, Alessandria, San Ponzi, Albarella, Ravera and Terlo.

Here's a wine that vaunts its hot-vintage aromas of wild rose, cherry and red fruit in a careful and contained manner. The Giovanni Viberti 2017 Barolo Buon Padre draws its fruit from nine different vineyard sites: Bricco delle Viole, San Pietro, La Volta, Fossati, Alessandria, San Ponzi, Albarella, Ravera and Terlo. The results are balanced, and indeed this wine reveals more acidity or freshness than we see in most of its peers from the challenging 2017 vintage. That freshness gives the wine a greater sense of lively fruit and accessibility. Buon Padre (the "good father") is a solid medium-term Barolo for a fatty lamb dish.

Marked by licorice, menthol, cherry and spice aromas and flavors, this red is densely structured and intense. A solid matrix of tannins provides support and a strong grip on the finish.
