This is a balanced and fresh white wine to pair with spicy Indian or Thai vegetarian dishes. The 2016 Falerno del Massico Bianco has a naturally citrusy side with kiwi and lime. This is a thin and compact white wine with lots of easy-drinking appeal.

The 2015 Falerno del Massico Bianco is a terrific value wine. This bright and fragrant expression of Falanghina offers impressive aromatic intensity with peach, citrus, pear and zesty lime at the front. Vines are planted in volcanic soils that are rich with potassium and phosphorus. The finish is delineated and crisp, thanks to a zesty vein of fresh acidity at the back.

Tasted from magnum, the 2014 Falerno del Massico Bianco shows full intensity and luscious fruit flavors of peach, pear and honeydew melon. Delicate mineral tones of crushed oyster shell appear at the back and the wine also produces lingering menthol and herbal notes. The finish is crisp and clean, but slightly leaner because of the cooler vintage.

The 2013 Falerno del Massico Bianco opens to a saturated off-gold color with aromas of spice and cooked fruit. I was surprised by the ripeness of this vintage. Falanghina grapes are harvested from volcanic soils with southeast exposures at 140 meters above sea level. The vines range in age from 23 to 50 years old. The wine is produced with great attention to temperatures with cyromaceration and cold stabilization. It rests in stainless steel for three months. That extra degree of ripeness suggests an immediate drinking window. Sour almond flavors pop up on the close.
