Carpineto's 2013 Brunello di Montalcino is bright and fruit-forward. The aromas are lively and buoyant with ripe cherry and cassis at the front. The bouquet is very attractive indeed, but this mid-weight wine is short and less impactful in terms of mouthfeel. Still, this is an accessible Brunello to pair with roast ham or pork. Some 18,000 bottles were made.

A fleshy style whose richness offsets the leafy tannins, paving the way for cherry, almond, leather and iron notes. Finishes dry, with length and grip. Best from 2021 through 2035. 2,850 cases made, 950 cases imported.??–BS??Region: Italy / Brunello di Montalcino Select to Add
