This dark plum/cherry-colored wine is extremely aromatic, with plenty of spice, cherry liqueur, pepper, and underbrush notes. In the mouth, it is fresh, medium to full-bodied, with excellent, nearly outstanding concentration. The wine's 14.6% alcohol is slightly noticeable in the finish, but well-balanced vis a vis the wine's other components. It should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.Rosenblum's 1996s are consistently successful. They reflect the short, hot growing season as they do not possess very much length.
