This vintage goes down in history for being infamously hot. No surprise, the 2003 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova offers thick layers of jammy dark fruit that spreads evenly and thickly over the palate. The wine offers moderate depth and dimension, but it does give you a kick in the face in terms of black fruit intensity. The finish is chewy, rich and a gritty in texture. This is a wine with big bones and an even bigger attitude.
