Domaine de Beaurenard's Cotes du Rhone is an unqualified success in the 1990 vintage. It is the type of wine that offers immediate gratification but can last for 4-5 years. The color is a healthy dark plum, and the nose is all sweet black fruits, roasted peanuts and herbs. In the mouth, this expansive, round, exceptionally pure wine displays no hard edges.
