Demure spiced pear aromas are found in the nose of the 1999 Meursault Genevrieres. This medium-bodied, well-balanced, and focused wine has excellent concentration and depth of white berry fruit. It is unquestionably a delicious and successful wine, but lacks the complexity and lengthy finish one would hope to find in a wine with such a lofty price tag. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
