The 1994 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde is an excellent, nearly outstanding wine with its smoky, black-raspberry, and bacon-scented nose, and medium-bodied, concentrated, silky palate. This forward-styled Cote Rotie should drink well for 7-8 years. This firm's top wines are their Cote Roties, of which two cuvees are made, a Brune et Blonde and the single-vineyard La Chatillonne. The latter vineyard is on the Cote Blonde, and produces a scant 500-600 cases.
