The style of Taupenot's wines is a bit different from other producers', but there is something to be said for the heady, alcoholic, herbaceous aromas and soft, chaptalized, sweet, soupy structure. I would like to see more precision and delineation, but this clearly seems to be a wine that is meant to be drunk young, in its lusty, direct state. It should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.
