There's more to the 2013 Perpetual, which is produced with the fruit of old Cari?ena and Garnacha vines on the classical llicorella slate soils. The wine matured in brand new French oak barrels for some 18 months. The oak is also more evident, with plenty of smoky and spicy aromas over a core of wet slate and ripe berry fruit. The palate is powerful, but hides the 15% alcohol well because of the good balance with tannins and acidity. Even if it should improve in bottle, it's already accessible but should show better with powerful food. 12,849 bottles were produced and filled in September 2015.
