Last Tasted 6/92Medium garnet-colored, with some orange at the edge, this wine's soaring bouquet can easily fill a small room with aromas of leather, smoked duck, sweet jammy fruit, and prunes. In the mouth, the wine is all sweet, velvety fruit, with admirable body and a rich, chewy mouthfeel. The finish is long and lusty. Although the 1971 Leroy Mazis-Chambertin has been fully mature for some time, it exhibits no signs of losing its fragrance or rich fruit. A great red burgundy!
