Well balanced is the 1998 Shiraz. Attractive aromas of licorice, blackberries, earth, and pepper are present in the moderately-endowed bouquet. Acidity is there, but the wine's weight and richness handle it well. The finish is short, but the fruit quality is impressive, and the wine is attractive, medium-bodied, and cleanly made.
