This 2019 Shiraz is made of two halves: the fruit side is squishy, soft, round, plump and generous, while the tannin/oak side is firm, unyielding and toasty. This suggests to me that the wine will be immeasurably better after a decant and while the weather is cool. It is a rich, robust, savory wine with a warm, showy finish.

Aged in American oak hogsheads for 18 months, 2007 Shiraz is deep garnet in color and offers intensely spicy aromas of cinnamon and cloves, warm blackberries and mulberries, some mocha and cardamom. Crisp and rich with a full body, medium level of velvety tannins and plenty of spiced berry fruit, it gives a good long finish. Drinking now, it should remain enjoyable to 2016. The dense purple-colored 2001 Shiraz reveals good underlying tangy acidity, medium body, spicy, peppery, earth, mushroom, and wood aromas in addition to deep flavors.
