The 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape is reminiscent of the wines made at Font du Michelle, a neighboring estate. Domaine de Terre Ferme's 1998 is a saturated deep ruby/purple-colored, powerful, concentrated, dense effort with full body, abundant glycerin, an unctuous texture, and layers of ripe fruit presented in a thick, robust, exuberant style. Some tannin is present, but this wine is ripe and rich, and thus accessible. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2016. No known American importer.
