The 2016 The Mariner is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. Opaque ruby-purple, it opens with rich tones of chocolate, cassis and candied cherries with hints of dried herbs, earth, underbrush and pencil shavings. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a dense core of fruit, grainy tannins and good freshness, followed by a finish laced with sweet spice. 1,378 cases produced.
