The 2018 Ocean Reserve Blanc de Blancs has pretty aromas of golden apples, pastry, toast and beeswax, and the light-bodied palate is dry and creamy, with delicate fruits, rounded acidity and a gently nutty finish.

With a little over five grams dosage, the 2015 Ocean Reserve Blanc de Blancs opens with notes of toast and pie crust with Meyer lemon, wet stone, red apple skin and yellow pear. The palate is light to medium-bodied and dry, with a refreshing core of fruit, good balance of pastry/savory notions from the tirage, finely textured mousse and a long, savory finish. 1,000 cases produced.

The 2013 Ocean Reserve Blanc de Blancs features delicate orange blossom, lemon juice and grapefruit peel notes with hints of green apples, lightly browned toast and honeysuckle. Light, refreshing and delicately styled, it gives loads of citrus and mineral flavors with a crisp line of freshness and small, persistent bubbles. 1,500 cases produced.

The 2012 Ocean Reserve Blanc de Blancs is scented of oyster shells, lemon zest, yuzu and orange blossoms with a core of green apples. The palate is very fine, with better acidity and length.

Iron Horse’s sparkling cuvées include the 2009 Blanc de Blancs Ocean Reserve, from which a percentage of each bottle is donated to National Geographic to further educational efforts about the protection of our planet. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it exhibits a greenish hue to its light straw color along with attractive notes of white flowers, white peaches and honey in a medium-bodied, dry, pure style. The well-formed bubbles are tiny and uniform. Enjoy this beauty over the next 12-15 months.
