The Party Wine Series begins with the 2007 Gigglepot Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced entirely from McLaren Vale, and aged in 70% new oak for 12 months. Purple/black in color, it offers up a superb nose of pain grille, pencil lead, violets, black currant, and blackberry liqueur. Super-concentrated, layered, and intense on the palate, it has a velvety texture, luscious flavors, and impeccable balance. Give it 3-4 years to reveal its full potential and drink it from 2012 to 2024. Mollydooker is the label of the renowned winemaking team of Sparky and Sarah Marquis. This is their third vintage, one seriously affected by the drought conditions in Barossa and McLaren Vale. Their overall production was down by 50% in 2007.
