The 1998 Gewurztraminer Furstentum exhibits an elegant floral nose reminiscent of Moroccan spices (a blend of dried chiles, ginger, cinnamon, curry, and a myriad of others) as well as a compelling note reminiscent of freshly chopped spring onions. This lush, rich, and opulent wine is crammed with botrytis, red cherries, raspberries, and flowers. Medium to full-bodied, and possessing a long, flavorful finish, it should be at its best if consumed between 2001 and 2007.
