Notes of lemon oil, nutmeg and sesame mingle with lime zest and white truffle in a complex mélange, introducing the 2010 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, deep and firmly structured, with immense concentration, tension and substance. Like the whites from Domaine d'Auvenay that accompanied it, this Corton-Charlemagne exhibits a phenolic frame that wouldn't be out of place in a red wine, and it requires the best part of another decade of cellaring.
