The Prager 2006 Riesling Federspiel Steinriegel features scents and flavors of lemon and almond in a bright lively medium, and allied to bitter hints of lemon pip and peach kernel, and a sizzling pungency of fruit skin and mineral. Despite having nearly Smaragd proportions, this displays a cut, refreshing clarity, and liveliness that spell “Federspiel.” Like the Gruner Veltliner Federspiel bottlings of Hirtzberger or F.X.
