Very deep garnet in color with a hint of purple, the Farmer’s Leap 2005 Shiraz has pronounced notes of ripe black currant and blackberry with some tar, damp earth, licorice and roasted coffee beans. Some cedar notes still remain. Full-bodied with firm grainy tannins and crisp acid, it has plenty of expressive dark berry fruit and earth flavors, finishing long with lingering notes of cloves and anise. Drink it now to 2016+.
