The 2005 Barbaresco Reyna is a pretty, perfumed wine with scents of sweet red cherries, spices and flowers that waft out of the glass. A medium-bodied, feminine Barbaresco, it reveals firm, but well-integrated tannins that convey good elegance, particularly at this level. The Barbaresco Reyna is an excellent candidate for nearer-term drinking. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2017. Wonderful aromas of sliced plum, with hints of dried flowers. This is full-bodied, with spice, truffle and berry character. Very long and rich, yet soft and beautiful.
