From Piuze's debut vintage, the 2008 Chablis Terroir de Courgis is showing very well, offering up notes of honeyed apples, oyster shell and iodine, framed by subtle reduction. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, concentrated and satiny, with incisive acids and a tangy, chiseled profile. While the 2008 is very different from the 2009 in style, it's on the same qualitative level.
